The implementation of the Student Response System (SRS) Kahoot! in EFL classes and its effects on reading comprehension

چکیده

Improvement of teacher-student class interaction has been obtaining greater progresses thanks to technological development with the addition practical resources and modern facilities in educational institutions. The use game-based response systems for enhancing language skills inside an EFL classroom reported benefits mainly certain particular like grammar sentence structuring. In this study, online gaming platform Kahoot! was used specifically reading comprehension skill through a period nearly three months on students A2 level from Universidad de Cuenca Ecuador. intervention website focused remembering specific details by means quizzes. research design study mixed-method based Hypothetico-Deductive approach data collection instruments, as well their further analysis interpretation. Pre posttests were order compare results before after methodology. outcomes revealed statistical improvement favorable effects regarding pre also general learner acceptance towards stated Further is suggested purposes its continuous supporting tool texts, together other subskills which could possibly be benefitted methodology field instruction.
